The EX-SHADWELL is a decomissioned Landing Ship Dock (LSD-15) which is being converted to a damage control test bed. Full scale testing of most facets of damage control can be accomplished on this ship. It will be located at the U.S. Coast Guard Fire and Safety Test Detachment, Mobile, Alabama. This report describes the overall general capabilities for the EX-SHADWELL along with supporting documents of developing specific test plan for RDT&E aboard the vessel. (fr)
