The primary objective of the Pioneer F/G Program is to conduct exploratory investigations beyond the orbit of Mars of the interplanetary medium. Aspects of the Pioneer F and G launches which may affect environmental quality will be discussed in two areas: those related to the launch vehicle and those related to the spacecraft. There are insignificant adverse environmental effects from the products of the launch vehicle and from the radioisotope generators on the spacecraft.
