The primary reason for the construction is to eliminate the existing grade crossing between Secondary Highway 0404 and the Union Pacific Railroad tracks at Hanna. The project will have a beneficial impact on the area in all considerations that favor multiple transportation facilities. There may be some relocation of families depending on the final design. Adverse effects of a temporary nature that cannot be avoided are construction noise and exhaust, dust and smoke, vegetation disruption, and traffic disruption.
