The CAL Variable Stability B-26 was used to demonstrate various aspects of stability and control to students and staff of the U. S. Naval Test Pilot School, Patuxent River, Maryland. A syllabus developed jointly by the Test Pilot School Staff and CAL provided for demonstrations of longitudinal and lateral-directional handling qualities. The information presented was chosen to supplement the academic and flight instruction in stability and control presented by the School, and the CAL demonstration program was planned to mesh properly with the schedule of the School.
