Rigorous solutions for curved, square panels vibrating in their fundamental mode are presented for various limiting cases of edge restraint. The results obtained are similar to those reported by Rehfield and Hallauer for compressive buckling and indicate that the panels are sensitive to rotational restraint, circumferential restraint and longitudinal restraint of the straight edges in decreasing order of influence.
