The Budapest VSDIA MINI Conference series on Vehicle System Dynamics, Identification and Anomalies began in 1988 on the basis of the intitiative of the academic staff members of the Faculty of Transportation Engineering dealing with railway vehicle, road vehicle, aerospace vehicle, as well as ship dynamics and control at the Technical University of Budapest. The rapid development in this special field and the great interest of industrial/transport enterprises in the intensive research and development made it reasonable to think of widening the possibilities in Central Europe for the international exchange of views and experience on dynamics, identification and parameter anomaly problems of vehicle systems.
