One set of double-stacked B-61s was secured on the MHU-12/M with the conventional trailer-supplied cables, and a road test proved that this configuration was compatible. Chains and aircraft tiedowns were used to secure the following bolstered units on the MHU-12/M trailer: one single B-28, two single B-43s, one set of double-stacked B-43s, one set of double-stacked B-57s, and two sets of double-stacked B-57s. Raod tests were conducted with each configureation to prove its compatibility. From these results and the similarity of bolsters it was concluded that the following bolstered units may also be transported by the MHU-12/M after they are secured with chains and aircraft tie-downs: one single B-43, one set of double-stacked B-61s, and two sets of double-stacked B-61s.
