Tourism is the number two export income earner for Guatemala. It is often stated that there is a great shortage of hotel rooms in Guatemala. Good possibilities may exist, particularly for U.S. investors that are interested in joint ventures or franchising and for service companies that can provide multi-level training for hotel personnel.
