This report describes the Generic Surface-to-Air Missile Model (GENSAM) which evaluates the outcome of an engagement between a surface-to-air missile system and an attacking aircraft. The model treats a large variety of SAMs from the initial encounter through target intercept. The attacker flies a pre-set flight path but may deviate from this in order to execute an evasive maneuver.
