This report details the installation of the Dalmo Victor Collision Avoidance System aboard two Piedmont Airlines B-727 aircraft and the performance of the System during 928 hours of operational flights. During this period, 32 resolution advisories and 329 traffic advisories were recorded. A large percentage of these advisories were caused by other aircraft that were on the ground. A technique to eliminate on-ground aircraft advisories was developed but not tested. FAA and airline personnel observed approximately one-third of the data collection period and provided comments on system usefulness. Appendixes to the report give data as recorded during the resolution advisories.
