This report describes post-flight evaluation of the guidance and control system of the High Speed Flight Demonstrator phase II, which was tested at the Esrange test site on July 1, 2005. The results of evaluation proved that the guidance and control system satisfied all requirements of the flight experiment. The flight simulation which was based on the reference mathematical model used in development and design of the vehicle showed some differences compared with the actual flight. Post-flight evaluation indicated the possibility that the model had errors. Except for the wind model, these errors were within permitted limits. For the wind model, the results could not show whether the wind was real or not. The post-flight evaluation also indicated that more careful construction of the mathematical model and more realistic flight simulation technology are required. Very important knowledge for future vehicle development was obtained in this study.
