The project involves the construction, marking and lighting of a paved runway 3,000' x 60', stub taxiway 240' x 30' and aircraft parking apron 200' x 400'; install lighted windcone, rotating beacon, VASI-2 and obstruction lighting and/or approach clearing. Because of the location of the proposed airport development, there are no apparent identifiable adverse environmental effects resulting from the proposed airport construction. The area is directly adjacent to, and northeast of, a large automobile racetrack (Speedway) and its associated very large automobile parking lots. In addition, an active railroad runs between the proposed airport site and the five existing residential dwellings that could be affected by aircraft noise. The entire easterly side of the airport is a planned industrial park.
