Accessibility is a term often used in transport and land-use planning, and is generally understood to mean approximately 'ease of reaching'. However, the detailed definitions used vary. It is the aim of this report to survey the ranges of definitions and measures of accessibility that have been used, to evaluate these measures and to give some indication of the usefulness of the concept of accessibility.
