This study compared the aeromedical cardiovascular disease screening outcomes between the North Dakota Army National Guard (NDARNG) aviator cohort and a peer cohort composed of all other Army National Guard (ARNG) aviators. Each cohort included aviators age 40 or older which is the age aviators enter the cardiovascular disease screening program for the detection of disease. The study was based on analysis of factors found in the U.S. Army Aviation Epidemiology Data Register. Analyses were conducted using nonparametric, relative risk, odds ratio, and matched pair case control methods.
