The results of a cytological study of the material carried on the automatic stations Zond 5 and Zond 6 during their flights around the moon showed that spaceflight factors induce chromosome mutations. The effect of spaceflight factors combined with gamma radiation varies with the physiological state of the material and radiation dose. Under some conditions the effect of two factors is additive, while under others irradiation increases the impact of spaceflight factors. (Author)
