The characteristics of the propagation payload on Olympus and its mission are described. The propagation payload has been designed specifically for propagation research at 20 and 30 GHz. Very accurate attenuation, cross-polarization and phase shift measurements carried out from a large number of earth stations in Europe are referred to.
