The Starlette satellite is a passive device with no transmitting parts, designed to furnish geodesic information through laser firing from the ground. The design of the satellite and its flight specifications are described. Its mission will include study of geopotential, earth tides, oceanic tides, and polar movement, plus fine dtermination of the positions of the stations on the ground. (Author)
