The ships supply support in-house study is intended to define, develop, and propose an automated method by which supply support dollar outlays may be related to fleet capability. The objective of the study is being accomplished through the design and operation of two Supply System Simulators. The interim report discusses the design of the first, or Mark I, inventory simulator and synthesizer, and describes the current Sixth Fleet supply support system, which is being replicated in the study.
