The airfoil construction is suitable for use in guided missiles and space vehicles. The structure includes a pair of spaced sheet members, a rigid cellular structure between and bonded to the sheet members and an airfoil edge secured to an open space between the sheet members. The airfoil edge is made of ablative material.
