A large scale data collection to assess the height-keeping performance of aircraft over mountainous areas was conducted at CRNA Sud-Est, Aix-en-Provence. The report gives the result of the bulk data analysis of the recorded flights. Statistical analysis shows a good general overall quality of height-keeping, with Mode 'C' within the range CFL + or - 100 ft. for more than 98% of total flight time and within the range CFL + or - 200 ft. for more than 99% of total flight time.
