This report covers a twelve month study aimed at improving the transmission characteristics of the present Integrated Switching and Multiplexing (ISAM) models, methods of signalling and control, and Super and Master group switching and multiplexing using the ISAM technique. An Optimum Network synthesis technique for the ISAM filters will be developed and several filtration methods will be tested. Signalling and control using conventional techniques as applied to ISAM will be studied. (Author)
