The use of digital avionic systems including an Electronic Flight Instrument System (EFIS) in the design of the Advanced Turbo Prop aircraft is described. The certification process used for the EFIS, the software of the digital systems, and the lightning protection of the aircraft are described. The method used to show compliance with Joint Aviation Requirement 25.1309 is described.
