The Houston Motorist Assistance Program (MAP) assigned two vans to patrol the U.S. 59 Southwest Freeway during the reconstruction projects. These patrols operated from about July 1991 until the majority of the construction was completed in September 1992. The report evaluates the benefits that this program produced during a one-year period.
