The manual is intended for pilots and navigators in civil aviation. It can also be used by workers of civil aviation maintenance, by military-transport flight crews, and by students of intermediate and advanced aviation training schools. In the handbook is given material on the technical aspects of flight and geometrical data on Soviet civil aircraft, on the aerodynamics of high-speed aircraft, means of aircraft control, aviation meteorology, cartography, and astronomy. In it are also presented several mathematical computations which are necessary to the flight crew. The book contains various data needed by the pilot and navigator to accomplish any type of flight and in any meteorological conditions, both day and night, and before as well as during the flight.
