A 90 GHz microwave radiometer to be flown on an Indian Rohini satellite together with an optical sensor containing channels at 650 nm and 850 nm is described. The goal of the 90 GHz microwave experiment is the experimental verification of spaceborne 90 GHz radiometry capabilities, in view of payloads for shuttle, satellites, and space stations.
