The broad objectives of this study were to evaluate the effectiveness of overlays for rutted asphalt concrete pavements and to develop criteria for the design of these overlays. In particular, the study attempted to evaluate the effect of: overlay lift thickness and 'stability' of pavement to be overlaid.
