The work conducted under this program consists of engineering and fabrication for modifying an existing three-stage outrigger rocket sled system and to design and fabricate an aerodynamic nose cone for testing a ramjet propulsion system at the Holloman AFB test track. The engineering performed consists of design, structural, loads and vibration analysis for total test sled systems by means of mathematical modeling. The ultimate objective is to conduct test sled track runs to prove the feasibility of testing high-speed ramjet systems by use of a high speed sled. A secondary objective was to design the mission sled modifications such that further modifications will be minimal when other payloads are mounted on the mission sled. (Author)
