The eleventh in a series of annual reports is presented covering the International Road Federation's Survey of Current Research and Development on Roads and Road Transport. This year, for the first time, it includes data from within the United States. The 1975 report is especially important and significant in that it provides in a single volume the primary source of this type of information on a worldwide basis since the discontinuance of publication of Highway Research in Progress by the United States Transportation Research Board. The report lists 4,375 projects from overseas countries and 2,764 projects in the United States, classified in accordance with the subject area classification system of the Transportation Research Board. Two special in-depth studies are included: 'Highway transport and energy problems in Europe'; 'European experiences in highway noise'.
