The report describes wind tunnel visualizations, the PISTIL system. The techniques of seeding smoke and mini wires make possible a dynamic study of flow. For a fixed attitude of the model, visualizations by the PISTIL system and viscous coatings provide the maximum detail and resolution. The wires and the viscous coatings are used for peripheral visualization while the smoke and the PISTIL system are used to study flow in space. Thus, there is no universal method and the different techniques are complementary.
