Results of the calculation of the expected lack of traffic safety of a scenario from the structure scheme on traffic and transport are presented. The scenario is for the year 2010 if the policy for traffic safety has not changed. In 2010 there will be 60% more vehicle kilometer than in 1986. A forecast is made for the different types of road and the distribution of the number of motor vehicles on these types. Some conclusions are: motorways with more than four traffic lanes have the lowest number of injury accidents, and main urban roads inside built-up areas have the most injury accidents. The need for further research into the other scenarios is stressed.
