The report describes the efforts of United States Lines in the development and implementation of twelve computer software modules for use in their business operations. These modules were developed as part of the Shipping Operations Information System in a cooperative effort with the Maritime Administration. The report provides a summary discussion of the use of these modules within United States Lines and identifies the operational benefits and economic impact resulting from their use within the company.
