A free flight testing system for reentry body models is shortly described, which allows 6-component measurements without the influence of a sting and without interferences between the aerodynamic forces and moments. The mathematical basis for the evaluation of the tests is shown extensively. The usefulness of the tests is demonstrated for the AGARD-calibration model HB-2. (Author)
