The Agena space tug design was based on the requirements of representative reference missions, the use of existing hardware, and the experience gained from more than 300 Agena flights. To provide a convenient reference for understanding the Agena tug design selection or for evaluating alternative concepts, this catalog of existing flight equipment was prepared. Equipment descriptions are grouped by Agena subsystem, as follows: spaceframe; catalog of existing flight equipment was prepared. These systems, most of which have been flight qualified on prior Agena programs, permit specialized mission requirements to be satisfied without sacrificing cost or reliability. (Author)
