The project proposes construction of a U.S. Highway 6 By-pass of Bremen, from a point approximately 1.4 miles west of Miami Highway, to a point approximately 0.9 miles west of North Beech Road. It would permit the through traffic on U.S. 6 to avoid the present congested area through Bremen. The project is approximately seven miles long and would include an overpass of the Baltimore and Ohio Railroad. This would relieve the existing underpass of the railroad which has restricted width, height and hazardous approach alignment. Some adverse environmental consequences should result because some homes would be displaced with the project. Some farmlands will be severed and some trees will be removed from land taken for right-of-way.
