The report contains the analysis, findings, conclusions, and recommendations as determined by the National Transportation Safety Board and applicable to a DC 3 aircraft which crashed while the crew operated under instrument flight rules in high mountainous terrain, in an area where there was a lack of radio navigation aids. The aircraft crashed on the east slope of Mount Whitney - all persons on board perished in the impact.
