The report covers nine subject areas in an effort to formulate strategies that will complement the development of infrastructure and other projects related to the physical assets of the Asian port sector: Shipping patterns; Port operations, intermodalism, and technology; Port administration; Labor; Training; Pricing and finance; Customs; Environment and marine safety; and Trade barriers. The study identifies problems in each of the above areas, based on interviews and existing studies, and strategies to deal with the problems.
