The purpose of the Airport Access Study is to present findings and recommendations relating to the ability of regional ground transportation systems to serve future aviation demand at the major commercial air transportation centers in the San Francisco Bay Area. The report provides an historical persepective of factors influencing air travel and analyzes existing ground transportation systems to determine their capacity and degree of utilization. An inventory of airport access services other than the private automobile is also presented.
