This report describes existing and emerging exposure data sources for highway safety analysis. Existing exposure data sources reviewed include: Highway Performance Monitoring System (HPMS), Highway Safety Information System (HSIS), Lonter-Term Pavement Performance (LTPP) Monitoring System, Nationwide Personal Transportation Survey (NPTS), National Truck Trip Information Survey (NTTIS), Operational Exposure Data Sources, Residential Transportation Energy Consumption Survey, Truck Inventory and Use Survey (TIUS), and Weigh-in-Motion (WIM) devices.
