An existing Design Envelope approach to meeting aircraft limit-load requirements for flight in continuous turbulence, using power-spectral methods, is reformulated in a manner which makes no distinction between linear and nonlinear aircraft response. Computational techniques for implementing the new procedure in applications to nonlinear aircraft are discussed and compared with existing simulation methods. Keywords: Power spectrum; Limit load; Turbulence; Great Britain. (JHD)
