The project proposes five alternate freeway locations for Interstate Route 15 through the Juab Valley between Mills Junction and North Nephi. A distance of approximately 26 miles. There will be loss of some agricultural land due to Interstate right-of-way, bisecting of some farm and ranch land. Two of the alternates would require taking of valuable winter deer range. Any alternate will relieve congestion on main streets of Nephi and Levan, with an accompanying reduction in air and noise pollution from the through traffic. (Author)
