The report contains the analysis, findings, conclusions and recommendations as determined by the National Transportation Safety Board and applicable to a Douglas DC 8 aircraft which crashed in Santa Monica Bay at Los Angeles International Airport as it attempted an instrument approach to the runway. Of the 45 persons aboard the aircraft only 19 escaped with varying injuries, the others drowned.
