The report, which is written in Norwegian, sums up results from several projects carried out at the Institute of Transport Economics and the University of Trondheim. Chapter 1 discusses in general the relationship between age and accidents. Chapter 2 describes the driving process and demands that traffic imposes on drivers. Chapter 3 and 4 take up the accidents and driving problems of the young drivers and of the elderly drivers, and Chapter 5 considers measures connected to driver license regulations, driver training and control.
