Aerospace Photonics: despite significant commercial and DARPA funding of WDM technology, the technology has yet to impact Naval aerospace platforms. Affordability, environmental compatibility, and technology readiness level remain impediments. Directed technology maturation at the component, packaging, and system level are required.
