A ease of giant invasive prolactinoma in a Royal Australian Air Force aviator prompted a literature review to determine fitness to fly. Particular areas of emphasis included effects and side effects of treatment, particularly bromocryptine therapy, and neurologic and endocrine effects of the tumor. With presently available therapy, this condition was felt to be incompatible with military aviation.
