The study is intended as a pilot investigation aimed at providing information concerning factors related to motorcycle accidents. Information on the motorcycle driving population was collected and compared to the general driving population. The traits and characteristics of the motorcycle driver and the interrelationships among factors commonly associated with motorcycle accidents were explored. In essence, the study attempts to define the extent of the motorcycle problem and to isolate possible problem areas for further research. (Author)
