The report provides general information on computer programs based on simplified models of truck braking and handling. The following simplified models are discussed: low- and high- speed offtracking, straight line braking, static roll, steady turn, mountain descent, rearward amplification. It includes an outline of a tutorial course explaining the utilization of these models, and the vehicle dynamics concepts involved. Instructions on the use of each of the computer models, and charts summarizing the performance signatures and measures evaluated by each model are provided.
