Results of 37 borings performed for the crossing of Washington Channel and Potomac River in L'Enfant-Pentagon Route of the Washington Metropolitan Area Metro System are summarized in this report. The section explored extends from the intersection of Frontage Road and 7th Street S. W. to a point directly east of the Pentagon Building in Arlington, Virginia. The report contains a continuous geological section along the subway line, logs of the borings, engineering laboratory test results and conclusions regarding subsoil properties. (Author)
