The project proposes to construct approximately 0.8 mile of four lane pavement and 1.75 miles of two lane pavement on new four lane right of way. An 8' effective berm width is proposed throughout the improvement. The proposed project begins at the existing interchange on U.S. Route 52 and State Route 140 and extends in a northeasterly direction 2.55 miles to existing State Route 140. Environmental impacts include: Displacement of twenty-two dwellings, four businesses and two farm buildings; conversion of 80 acres of land, consisting of 30 acres residential, 35 agricultural and 15 acres of wooded hillsides and waterways, to highway purposes; severance of seven properties including 3 farms; and reduction of wildlife habitat.
