The report describes the modification of the electronic portions of a double-deck extreme ultraviolet spectrophotometer recovered from a previous rocket flight, and the pre-flight tests and launch of two rocket instruments for the investigation of solar extreme ultraviolet radiation. A retarding potential analyzer used for analysis of environmental charged particles was flown on one instrument as an auxiliary experiment. Associated equipment used for calibration and testing of the instruments in both the laboratory and pre-launch phases is described. Experiments were flown on Aerobee 170 and Black Brant V rockets.
