A study was made to assess how effectively helicopters can be used for aerial patrol in a more densely populated community with more severe weather conditions than the Los Angeles area. Included in the report are discussions on helicopter equipment and maintenance, pilot training, crime assist and deterrence capabilities of helicopters and the cost of an aerial patrol program.
